Hello Guys!
I hope you all had a really good President’s Day break. Also, I want to apologize for not posting last week, but I was feeling really sick, so I decided to take a break and recharge.
So here we go…
This week I am going to talk about a show that is somewhat new. Freeform released the first episode on January 3, 2018, but I stumbled upon it just a few weeks ago, and here is how: I started watching a show named Black-ish (really good btw), that has been around for a while. It has I think four seasons, and it is really funny. Days later when I was about to finish it, I started scrolling down Hulu looking to see if there was anything new that looked interesting. And that is when I saw it. “Grown-ish,” a spin-off of Black-ish.
Grown-ish is a show that follows the life of the Johnson’s family oldest kid Zoey as she begins her college experience. She has graduated high school and moved out of her parent’s house and is now ready to start the next stage of her life.

This show is one that even though it just came out, already has a special place in my heart. I honestly wish this show had come out when I was a Freshmen in college. So if you are one, or are about to be, I want to encourage you to give it a try.
This series, as I said before, follows Zoey Johnson as she steps into the hectic, new, and exciting world that is college. You will see her deal with roommate drama, college parties, making new friends, meeting new boys, and over all, just trying to adapt to being a grown up and navigate the waters that are college and being away from home.
The episodes last about 25 minutes or less, and they all feature Zoey and her friends dealing with a new problem or facing some kind of drama. Whether it is boys, stress about classes, or just trying to find herself, you as a viewer will get a chance to watch Zoey deal with situations that you will find yourself in (if you haven’t already) when you get to college. We can hear her talking at the end of every episode and kind of giving advice to the viewers on this new but scary journey she has embarked on.
If you are feeling scared or stressed about starting college next fall, or are just having a hard time right now, go and watch this show. It will maybe help you prepare to deal with feelings or situations you are anxious about finding yourself into, give you comfort about what’s to come, serve as a reminder that every one goes through the same thing, or simply distract you and make you laugh. Every single one of this scenarios I think it’s a good one.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I am 🙂
Happy Tuesday!

Feliz Martes!
