Hello Friends!
Today I am blogging about something that I am really excited about. As you may already know, I am a big fan of TV Shows. Hehe.
First of all I have to warn you and tell you that this post is going to be a little different from my other TV Tuesday posts. This is not a review post, but kind of an excitement post. I am so happy about this, and I just thought I would share it with you guys.
One of the things that gets me really excited is when different shows that I like do a crossover. There is of course the “One Chicago” Trifecta. Dick Wolf has these three separate shows about Chicago: Chicago P.D., Chicago Fire, and Chicago Med. The episodes come out separately, but every once in a while, they do something called One Chicago. This is when all three shows combine and you have to watch all three to get the whole inside scoop on how it begins and ends. But I will talk about One Chicago in one of my other TV Tuesdays posts later on.
What I want to talk about here, is mainly Shonda Rhimes and some of her brilliant creations. She has three shows that I am absolutely obssesed with. Greys Anatomy, Scandal, and How To Get Away With Murder. All three of these series have as their main star strong women as the main characters, and this is one of my favorite things about all three of them. I am truly in awe with Rhimes’ creativity and writing calibur. All three of the shows are extremely interesting, thrilling, and most importantly, have the ability to stay relevant. I mean, Greys Anatomy has been around for 13 years, and people are STILL watching it. It just never gets old. I honestly think they could manage to stay on the air for at least three more years, but we will see.
If you are Scandal fans, you may already know that it is coming to an end. We are soon going to have to say goodbye to Olivia Pope and our beloved Gladiators. Even though I am sad Scandal is ending, I think it was the right thing to do. If Shonda Rhimes had not made this decision, I think the show, like many others, woud have eventually lost its value. It would have just kept going around in circles and even gotten repetitive. It was best to just say goodbye and end on a good note I guess.
The other show I want to bring to your attention, is How To Get Away With Murder. If you read my TV Tuesday post, you may have seen that this show is in my list of all time favorites. It is mainly about a group of college students and their professor and it has a lot to do with, yeah you guessed it, murder. But I won’t say much more since I will eventually do a post about this show later on. Maybe next week.
But, the reason that I am doing this post, is actually because all three shows are on a little break right now, and the next time we see Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating (HTGAWM), they are going to be SHARING the screen. Yes, that’s right. Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder are having a crossover and I could not be more excited. The last episode of How To Get Away With Murder that was released ended with one of the students suggesting to Professor Keating that she should call Olivia Pope to come and help her solve one of her many troubles. I screamed for about 30 seconds straight after finding out.
I honestly do not know what to expect, but I can’t wait to see these two boss ladies interact with one another and see how they go about solving Keating’s ongoing messes. I think watching these two work and act together is going to be an event many of you won’t want to miss. They are extremely talented and I believe it is going to be very interesting to see what Shonda Rhimes comes up with for this crossover. Watching their two worlds collide is going to be an experience I will never forget.
Just when I thought things could not get any more interesting, leave it to Shonda Rhimes to prove me wrong.
I really can’t say much on this post, since I obviously have not seen the episode yet. As I said before, this blog post is to share my excitement about this upcoming episode, which is being released this Thursday! If you are a fan of both these series, you are probably as excited as I am. If not, I strongly suggest you get to watching one if not both of this series.
Happy Tuesday 🙂
