Hello Guys!

Welcome to another T.V. Tuesday!

For those of you who love doctor shows, this is one you are not gonna want to miss. This show was produced by ABC and released its very first episode on September 27, 2017. Many of you may have heard of it or even seen commercials on T.V. There have been so many doctor programs, including the fan favorite Grey’s Anatomy, and part of the One Chicago Trifecta, Chicago Med. So why do we need more doctor programs?, you may have asked yourself. Well, let me tell you what sets this particular show apart and makes it different from all those we have already seen and fell in love with. The main character of this show, is an autistic doctor.

Genre: Drama

Cast:

Shaun Murphy: Freddie Highmore

  • Main character
  • Incredibly smart

Aaron Glassman: Richard Schiff

  • Shaun’s mentor from an early age
  • Hospital’s President
  • Vouches for Shaun

Neil Melendez: Nicholas Gonzales

  • Shaun Murphy’s boss
  • Accomplished doctor
  • Very skeptical about Murphy’s abilities

Claire Browne: Antonia Thomas

  • Fellow doctor of Murphy
  • Hard worker
  • Cares about trying to understand Shaun

The Good Doctor follows the life a Shaun Murphy, an autistic young adult that did not have the best childhood and suffered a traumatic loss when he was just a kid. He wants to become a doctor and save peoples lives. This show will take you inside the Bonaparte Hospital and give you a front row view into the live of Shaun Murphy as he tries to prove not only to his fellow doctors and his patients, but to himself that he is worthy of being part of the hospital’s surgical team. He struggles to both fit in, and be able to do his job in spite of his condition. He is different, but incredibly smart. What he does not have in social skills, he sure makes up for with his brain.

You are going to witness him treating patients, coming up with solutions to what seem to be unsolvable issues, trying to get along with his peers, impress his boss, and even navigate not only friendly, but romantic relationships as well. He is on a journey to discover his true self and what he really is capable of. Each episode has a different case with different patients, but it also at the same time follows the lives of each of the doctors and the ups and downs they face, so there is a story to be followed.

This is a show that will not only leave you in tears, but filled with inspiration as well. It is really interesting the way he communicates with other people, and how he carries himself despite everything he has been through.

For all those of you who are doctor lovers, I can assure you, Shaun Murphy will soon enough turn into one of your favorite characters on T.V. I highly recommend this show to all of you out there not only because it is entertaining, but because it raises awareness and has a really meaningful and important message: Being different does not mean being less than any one else. Today more than ever, it is important that we all understand that because someone is different, it does not mean that they are not good enough. Sometimes people just need a little faith, time, and patience to reach their highest potential. Different is beautiful and I think The Good Doctor portrays this saying really well. I love what this series stands for, and I am sure you will too. We all can definitely learn a thing or two from The Good Doctor.

Happy Tuesday Friends 🙂

Hola Chicos!

Bienvenidos a otro T.V. Tuesday!

Feliz Martes 🙂
