Welcome Back to yet another TV Tuesday!

So, this week we are going with a show that came out last year. It has two seasons, one with 17 episodes and the other one with 20. I came upon this show about a month ago, and I am seriously obsessed. I think this is a good show for you to start watching since you can look forward to more seasons to come, but also be able to do a little binge watching.

The Mick is show that narrates the live of Mackenzie Molng (Mickey), a screw-up, out of the box thinker, and incredibly lazy woman who is always looking a way to score some money. The story starts as the visits her estranged sister, who married a billionaire, and her three kids in their mansion in Connecticut. They are having a big barbecue for the 4th of July and Mick has come with the whole purpose of asking for a “loan.” Before she knows it, the police shows up looking for the couple and they flee the country. Mickey is left dealing with her sister’s spoiled children and their maid. You will taken in a journey along the Pemberton family as the kids try to deal with losing their parents and accepting Mickey, whom they have never met before, as the “authority figure”, and at the same time watch how Mickey has to step up and struggles to deal with these entitled kids.

This show will make you laugh, but it will also warm your heart. It is very interesting watching Mickey, the kids, and Alba develop a relationship they never thought they needed nor wanted. This is a show to watch if you need to distract yourself from life a little bit, hang out with friends, or simply laugh it off. The situations this characters will find themselves in, and the great lengths Mickey goes to deal with them will leave you speechless.

The main actress, Kaitlin Olson, has so much talent. She says things in a way that one cannot help but laugh, and at the same time uses her body language to take the comedy to the next level. These series will simply not be the same without her.

As I said before, I did not find this show so long ago, but I am really glad I did. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Esta semana vamos a hablar de una serie que salió apenas el año pasado. Tiene dos temporadas, una con 17 episodios y la otra con 20. Me encontré con esta serie hace como un mes y deverdad que estoy obsesionada. Me parece que es un buen programa para empezar a ver en estos momentos ya que pueden anticipar mas temporadas, pero a la vez van a poder “binge it” a la vez.

The Mick narra la vida de Mackenzie Molng (Mickey), una chica desastrosa, con ideas poco comunes, e increíblemente perezosa a quien lo único que le interesa es conseguir dinero.

La historia empieza cuando Mickey, con el único propósito de pedir dinero prestado, va a visitar a su hermana con la que tiene tiempo sin hablar y quien vive con su adinerado esposo y sus tres hijos en una mansión en Connecticut.

A menos de 15 minutos de la llegada de Nick, mientras celebran el 4 de julio con una tradicional barbacoa, la policía aparece para arrestar a la pareja dueña de la casa quienes para sorpresa de todos está en el proceso de escapar del país. A raíz de este incidente Mickey queda con la responsabilidad de lidiar con los malcriados hijos de sus hermana y su empleada. Esta serie los llevara en una travesía junto con la familia Pemberton donde los niños tratan de enfrentar la nueva realidad  que viven con sus padres ausentes, mientras intentan aceptar a Mickey, a quien nunca habían conocido antes, como su nueva figura de autoridad. 

Esta serie los hará reír, pero a la misma vez les tocará el corazón. Es muy interesante ver a Mickey, los niños, y Alba (la empleada) formar una relación que nunca pensaron necesitar o querer en primer lugar. Este es un programa que les servirá si algún día están buscando distraerse un poco, compartir con sus amigos, o simplemente soltar una buena carcajada. Las situaciones en las que estos personajes se van a encontrar y las grandes distancias a las que que irá Mickey para lidiar con ellas los dejara sin palabras.  

La actriz principal, Kaitlin Olson, tiene un gran talento. La manera como se expresa no deja cabida para más nada que reírse usando su lenguaje corporal para llevar la comedia al siguiente nivel. Esta serie simplemente no sería lo mismo sin ella. 

Como dije antes, este show recién lo acabo de descubrir y la verdad es que estoy muy agradecida de haberlo hecho. Espero que lo disfruten tanto como yo.
