Welcome back to yet another T.V. Tuesday.

First lets address the elephant in the room. I have been M.I.A, I know. I honestly have been just caught up in life, working, spending time with family, and traveling.

But now I am back, for good!

So lets dive in, shall we?

Today is a really exciting day for me because I am recapping one of, if not my favorite t.v. show ever. Seriously, I enjoy it so much I am about to finish its last season, for the second time around! And believe me, this is not the last time this show will be seen playing on mi iPad. I can see a lot of Desperate Housewives re-watchings in my future. Yes, you read right. I am recapping an oldie but a goodie.

First lets introduce our main characters. We have Bree, who masks her dysfunctional life by portraying the perfect housewife. Gaby Solis, who left his modeling career to move to the suburbs with a husband who neglects her. Lynette Scavo who is a stay at home mother dealing with her four loud and naughty kids. And then we have Susan Mayer whose husband just left her leaving her with their teen-age daughter to care for.

Desperate Housewives first came out in 2014. It ran for 8 seasons until it ended in 2012. Sigh. But yeah, Desperate Housewives did really well considering they were able to stay on the air for so long. They really did a good job of keeping the story alive and the viewers interested.

These housewives all have families. They all face problems in and outside their home. But most importantly, they all have secrets that want to keep hidden. As the show evolves, these secrets start creeping up on the housewives and they become harder and harder to hide because of that.

I think my favorite thing about this show is that at first it can look like a very simple and ordinary show about housewives and their neighborhood problems. But that could not be further away from the truth! These housewives may look like they live the perfect lives, in their perfect neighborhood, with their perfect families. But as you get deeper into the show, you will realize that the challenges these women are forced to deal with will leave you on the edge of your seat, a little creeped out, and with no doubt, wanting more.

You will see a variety of different people move to Wisteria Lane (that is the name of the neighborhood where our 4 main characters live) and every single one of those new neighbors will bring into the lane new challenges, secrets, and threats to our four main housewives’ “ideal” lives.

This is what you should expect if you decide to watch: Candid romance, over the top drama, lots of tears, uncontrollable thrill, and most importantly, constant laughing.

Let these housewives take you not only along their cupcake-making lives, but also submerge you deep into the secret-filled cracks that they are so desperately trying but failing to hide and show you a deeper and darker side to them. After all, we all have one.

Hola! Bienvenidos a otro T.V. Tuesday!

Se que he estado perdida estas últimas semanas ya que he estado muy ocupada. Pero ya estoy de regreso, for good.

Empezemos, les parece?

Hoy es un día muy emocionante para mí porque estoy recapitulando una de mis series favorita. La disfrute tanto la primera vez que la vi que estoy a punto de terminar la última temporada, por segunda vez! Y créanme cuando les digo que esta no es la última vez que este show y yo nos veremos cara a cara. Puedo ver muchas repeticiones de Desperate Housewives en mi futuro. Sí, leíste bien. Estoy recapitulando un clásico.

Primero, les voy a presentar a nuestros personajes principales. Tenemos a Bree, que esconde su complicada vida actuando como la perfecta ama de casa. Gaby Solis, quien dejó su carrera de modelo para mudarse a los suburbios con un marido que no le presta atención. Lynette Scavo, una madre que se queda en casa lidiando con sus cuatro ruidosos y traviesos hijos. Y luego tenemos a Susan Mayer cuyo esposo acaba de abandonarla dejándola al cuidado absoluto de su hija adolescente.

Desperate Housewives estreno en el 2014 y se terminó en el 2012. Fue una serie muy exitosa considerando que estuvieran en el aire por 8 temporadas. Realmente hicieron un buen trabajo manteniendo la historia viva y a los espectadores interesados.

Estas amas de casa todas tienen familias. Todas enfrentan problemas dentro y fuera de su hogar. Y todas tienen secretos que quieren mantener ocultos. A medida que la serie evoluciona, estos secretos comienzan a tratar de escaparse haciéndose mas y mas difíciles de esconder.

Creo que lo que más me gusta de este programa es que al principio puede parecer  muy simple y ordinario, ¡Pero eso no podría estar más alejado de la verdad! Estas amas de casa pueden parecer que viven la vida perfecta, en su vecindario perfecto, con sus familias perfectas. Pero a medida que el programa se va desenvolviendo, te darás cuenta de que los desafíos con los que se ven obligadas a lidiar estas mujeres te dejarán al borde de tu asiento, un poco perturbado y sin duda, queriendo más.

Verás una variedad de personas diferentes mudarse a Wisteria Lane (ese es el nombre del vecindario donde viven nuestros 4 personajes principales) y cada uno de esos nuevos vecinos traerá a la mesa nuevos desafíos, secretos y amenazas a las vidas “ideales” de nuestras amas de casa.

Esto es lo que deberías esperar si decides empezarte esta serie: Romance, drama, muchas lágrimas, emoción incontrolable y lo más importante, risa constante.

Deja que estas amas de casa te sumerjan profundamente dentro de las grietas en las que se esconden los secretos que están desesperadamente tratando de esconder y te muestren su lado más oscuro y tenebroso. Después de todo, todos tenemos uno.
