Welcome to yet another T.V. Tuesday!

This week we are going with a classic. For those of you who have heard of this show but have never gotten yourselves to try it, you are missing out. Many of you I am guessing have seen Gossip Girl since it is a relatively old show. I personally have watched it a couple of times. Yes, I have watched every season in order a few times. It is just so good and even though it came out a long time ago, it just never gets old. So lets get started.

Where does the name “Gossip Girl” comes from you might ask. Well, Gossip Girl is a social media account created with the sole purpose of publishing the kid’s darkest secrets to the world. Student send in tips and pictures to the anonymous account and then he or she proceeds to publish them to anyone who follows him or her.

Gossip Girl is within my top five favorite shows of all time. One thing that I noticed and honestly really liked about this particular show, is the fact that it has no age limit. Yes, little kids should not be watching the show, but whether you are a teenager or a middle aged woman, you will for sure enjoy this show. These series has the best of both worlds. It is a light one that you can just sit and binge watch, and at the same time you will always be left wanting more after each episode due to how engaging it is.

Gossip Girl portrays the lives of rich teenagers that live in Manhattan and depend on their parents money. They have an incredibly amount of pressure to be the best and fill their parent’s shows when it comes going to college and then taking over the family company. They have no sense whatsoever of the worth of money, and they live in this bubble where anything can be fixed as long as you throw money at the problem. Their environment is very toxic. Having access to so much money at such a young age is a recipe for disaster. These kids surround themselves with alcohol, parties, drugs, and overall bad decisions due to the limit-less life they carry.

It is very interesting to get to see how New York’s finest live their lives and how the handle as a group of friends the unconventional problems that come their way. Along the show, you will notice how each character starts developing his/her own personality and opinions aside of what their parents have always taught them to think. They will start off really rocky, but the friendships made and the relationships that are developed will be ones you never saw coming.

It is just an extremely like-able show and to see how each member of the friends group provides their own set of skills in order to make a famous “skim” happen or to carry out a specific plan is very gripping. They get themselves into really strange situations and things about their past are released along the series that you might never see coming. These teenagers are forced to deal with some situations that no other kids would ever think of having to deal with.

I always thought this type of live was so unreal, and that this show was portraying something that really does not exist to its public. Turns out, I was wrong. I have heard from credible sources that the live kids lead in real life in NYC is even worse than what was shows to us on the screen. That to me is shocking.

I urge you to go watch this series. It really opens you up to a different life style that if you are like me, never thought existed. It does not only entertains you, but it also helps educate yourself about some other cultures that exist out there.

Esta semana vamos con un clásico. Para todos aquellos que han escuchado hablar de esta serie pero nunca han hecho nada al respeto, deverdad que se están perdiendo de algo. Muchos de ustedes me imagino que han visto Gossip Girl porque es una serie relativamente vieja. Esta reseña tal vez les interesara igual porque estaré compartiendo con ustedes mis opiniones y algunos facts acerca de la serie. Personalmente yo he visto Gossip Girl varias veces. Si, todas las temporada completas varias veces. Enserio es muy bueno y a pesar de que salió hace mucho tiempo, todavía es relevante.

De donde viene el nombre Gossip Girl se preguntara. Bueno Gossip Girl es nada mas y nada menos que una cuenta de medios de comunicación social, como twitter por ejemplo, que se dedica a divulgar los secretos de estos adolescentes. Los demás estudiantes, o cualquier seguidor de la cuenta en verdad le manda tips y fotos al usuario anónimo y este usuario de encarga de publicarlos para que todos los que los sigan lo puedan ver.

Gossip Girl esta entre mis cinco shows favoritos. Una cosa que he notado y que la verdad es que me gusto mucho fue que esta serie en particular, no tiene limite de edad. Si, es verdad que niños pequeños no la deben ver, pero es perfecta para edades desde la adolescencia hasta la edad media. Esta serie tiene lo mejor de ambos mundos. Es super simple y se presta para verla en maratón, pero a la vez siempre te dejara queriendo mas después de cada episodio porque es super interesante.

Gossip Girl refleja la vida de unos adolescentes ricos que viven en Manhattan y dependen de la plata de sus papas. Tienen muchísima presión cuando se trata de seguir en los pasos de sus padres, donde van a ir a la universidad, y hasta que harán una vez se gradúen. Prácticamente los están entrenando desde pequeños para volverse versiones renovadas y mejoradas de sus papas. No tienen sentido alguno de el verdadero valor del dinero, y viven en una burbuja que les provee con una visión de que no importa cual sea el problema, se podrá resolver siempre y cuando tengas suficiente dinero para gastar en la solución. Su ambiente es realmente tóxico. Tener acceso a tanta cantidad de dinero a tan corta edad deverdad que no es la mejor mezcla. Estos chicos se rodean de alcohol, fiestas, drogas y malas decisiones gracias a la vida sin límites que han aprendido a vivir.

Es muy interesante ver como la sociedad de clase alta de NYC vive sus vidas y como estos chicos manejan los problemas poco convencionales que se les presentan. A lo largo de la serie, van a notar como cada personaje se va desenvolviendo y encontrando su individualidad a diferencia de lo que sus padres les han enseñado que es correcto pensar. Relaciones amistosas y amorosas no son de esperare se van a formar, y esto es una de mis partes favoritas de la serie.

Es una seria sumamente atractiva y ver como cada miembro del grupo de amigos aporta sus propias cualidades para llevar acabo uno de sus famosos planes. Se meten en situaciones realmente extrañas y a medida que la serie se desenvuelve eventos sobre su pasado empiezan a salir a la luz. Estos adolescente se ven forzados a a lidiar con una seria de eventos que probablemente ningún otro niño se pudiera imaginar.

Siempre pensé que este tipo de vida era pura ficción y que solo pasaba en la televisión. Pero un tiempo atrás le pregunte a una fuente de información bastante fiable y al parecer es aún pero en vida real. Eso me impresiono bastante la verdad.

De verdad que les recomiendo mirar esta serie. De verdad que los abre a un estilo de vida muy diferente (si es que no viven en NYC claro) que jamas pensaron que podría existir. O por lo menos ese fue mi caso. No solamente los va a entretener, pero los vas a ayudar a educarse cuando se trata de culturas diferentes.
